Yes,
you read that right! There are health benefits about crinkles.
Here’s
why…
Imagine for a moment
that everything bad you’ve heard about crinkles is true. The confectioner
sugar, imported cocoa and egg are bad for you. For all the negative effects we heard about eating crinkles,
only a few has been mentioned about its benefits. Indulging in the rich delight
every now and then, especially in desserts like crinkles you eat after every
meal, can give you a sense of pleasure and happiness.
But
what about the positive chemicals your body releases when you experience
the joy of crinkles? Not to mention the mental health benefits caused
by the enjoyment of a tasty, fresh, appetizing of your favourite variety.
Study after study tells
us what’s bad for us. Don’t eat refined foods, don’t breathe, don’t use
plastic, don’t ingest one million gallons of anything — not even
water (there are prescription drugs in there you know). Depression can be because of your
dieting. You can get depressed by depriving yourself simple things in life and
the food you want to take. Professionals say that one of best solutions in
combating depression is by doing the things that make you feel good. It’s a
widespread rule, but obviously very true. If you desire to eat your favourite
dessert right now, go ahead. Your body will thank you for it as it will release
positive and happy chemicals.
But
who has done a study on the BENEFITS of crinkles? Or the benefits of
anything enjoyable for that matter.
The
point is that joy has great power. What we believe has a direct effect on
what becomes reality.
I’d like to see a study
of people who do everything as healthy as possible, with one slight catch. Take
all the joy out of their lives. My guess is that the lack of joy will
crush any benefits of organic anything. When you are dieting, you may consider crinkles as
the devils. But indulging in something good every now and then isn’t all bad.
Not only is it not totally bad, it is also great for you occasionally. So go
ahead and dig in. Sink your teeth into the soft, succulent dark chocolate cake
that you know you can’t refuse. You’d be happy to know that you gave in.
So, go
ahead, eat that bit of crinkles. Enjoy it. It just might save your life.
And
remember, you are not alone so feast your senses…
